During his visit to three hospitals, the Vice Chancellor inspected the emergency department and emphasized the need to address patients who had been admitted for over six hours. He stated that patients in the emergency ward must be attended to promptly, and no patient should remain in the emergency department for more than six hours.
He also visited inpatient wards, specialized care units, operating rooms, and outpatient clinics to ensure their active operation. Additionally, he spoke with patients and their companions to gauge their satisfaction with the quality of care provided.
While visiting, Dr. Moshki held discussions with the medical staff, where workforce shortages were identified as one of the primary challenges faced by the healthcare teams. As a solution, he suggested employing third- and fourth-year medical residents as on-call doctors and implementing a one-month rotation for fourth-year physicians to address the shortage of specialists in medical centers.
