Firoozabadi Medical Education Center

According to the Public Relations Office of Firouzabadi Hospital, the inauguration ceremony of the level three infertility center, pediatric emergency department, specialized care units, angiography, and the hospital's conference hall took place with the presence of the Minister of Health, the Custodian of Hazrat Abdulazim Shrine, the acting governor of Rey Special District, Dr. Pazuki, the President of Iran University of Medical Sciences, and Mr. Arab, the manager of the center.

The Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education expressed his pleasure during the ceremony and congratulated everyone on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He stated that they were pleased to inaugurate a healthcare project in one of the best hospitals in Tehran during these auspicious days. He also highlighted the significance of the newly opened Angiography department and the completion of the ICU for cardiac patients in this center.

Dr. Pazuki, the President of Iran University of Medical Sciences, mentioned that currently, three specialists and subspecialists are performing cardiac invasive procedures in Firouzabadi Hospital. He emphasized that the most common cause of mortality is cardiovascular diseases, and the Angiography department and the completion of the ICU in this hospital will significantly improve the quality of cardiac care for the people of southern Tehran.

Ali Taebi, the Head of the center, stated that on average, they have around 12,000 visits to the emergency department, 8,000 visits to the outpatient clinics, and perform approximately 700 surgeries in the operating rooms each month. He also mentioned that the hospital has a capacity of 540 approved beds, with 360 beds currently in operation, and 32 additional beds have been added to the hospital's capacity today.

Furthermore, Ali Taebi announced the opening of the pediatric emergency department with 6 pediatric emergency beds and one CPR bed, which will provide 24/7 services. Additionally, he mentioned that the Angiography department has been inaugurated today, and it is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including 2 open-heart surgery operating rooms.
